Trail Tips

A number of car break-ins have been reported to local police at the Highway 96 bridge overpass parking lot and at the Hadley parking lot near I-694. Oakdale police have advised us that they believe a ring of professional burglars is operating in the area and advise that trail users should take the standard precautions when parking your car in any parking lot. These include:

  • Do not leave valuables in a visible place inside your car.
  • Lock your doors.
  • Carry your purse/wallet or cell phone with you.
  • If you must store valuables in your car, place them in the trunk of you car before you arrive at the parking lot.
