Volunteering

If you or your organization, would like to be a Gateway Brown’s Creek Trail volunteer we would be very pleased to talk to you! We believe that volunteers help make our trail one of the best in the state while the act of volunteering helps give the volunteer and the community at large a sense of ownership. Trails with volunteers are better cared for all around.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

1) Assemble new benches for the trails

2) Litter patrol along the trail
3) Burdock removal:

Please send us an email using the Contact us link  on the top bar indicating you would like to be added to our volunteer list. Also, you will need to fill out a simple volunteer form for the DNR to cover any liability you might incur while working on the trails. The form can be downloaded below.

All volunteer efforts are coordinated with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) who require volunteers to complete and sign the DNR volunteer form one time. Forms will be permanently held by the DNR. This form must be completed by all volunteers before they begin any task on the Trail. If you are a new volunteer, you may download a copy of this form and deliver it to the DNR official at the designated volunteer site on the day of your volunteer service. If there is sufficient time before your volunteer service, you may download the form, sign & mail it to:
